“The design of the Sequoia building responds to an extraordinarily interesting site on the edge between the city and nature, where it forms a kind of wall between busy transport infrastructure and the tranquillity of Krč Forest. We wanted to design a building that would feel elegant and light, while also having a clearly memorable character. A character that welcomes visitors arriving both on foot and by car. That is why it is white, with a clear and rational form, and its front façade cascades in cantilevered terraces above the access road. We drew inspiration from the majesty of sequoia trees. Of course, it was equally important for us that people should enjoy working there, which is why the interior spaces are simple and clearly organised.”
